Taking Responsibility

Taking responsibility can be manifested in responsibility vis-à-vis myself, or responsibility vis-à-vis other actions or people.
Taking responsibility for actions actually means admitting that we were involved, for better or worse.
In the negative case it is also important to add a request for forgiveness.

In what circumstances do feelings of responsibility arise:
Feelings of responsibility are always present inside us, the question is under what circumstances they arise.

These feelings can be found:
When we performed an action that we shouldn’t have performed and hurt somebody

When we feel that our lives aren’t going the way we would like and we have to take responsibility for them

Responsibility that is manifested in constant everyday behavior, such as responsibility for our children

Taking responsibility also means not blaming anybody but me.
Responsibility cannot be created by force. But if we pay attention to the truth, it is created all by itself.
And admitting it involves great courage.

In most cases we tend to pass on responsibility to someone else. That way it’s easier for us to cope with various situations, not to confront them and to blame others.
This is often seen at work, where the senior executives and managers pass on responsibility to their subordinates, especially when the results are not good, but take responsibility and credit when successes are involved.
The nation tends to pass on responsibility for failures to the leaders, especially in times of war and crisis.
But it’s important to remember that each and every one of us must take responsibility for himself and for what happens to him personally.
